About the meetings

Weekly Youth Meetings form the basis of the Youth program. They try to start and finish as close to the nominated time as possible but this is not always possible.

Each meeting will start and finish with a short flag ceremony. In between the opening and closing the weekly program will offer a wide variety of activities often chosen by the youth members themselves.

The program is designed to be very flexible and the youth are encouraged to offer suggestions on what interests them and what they would like to do. The Scout Method provides a framework for us to use without being too presciptive about what must be done each week. You will find that every week offers something different as a result!

What to bring and wear

• Clean uniform and neatly rolled scarf
• Enclosed footwear is a must!
• Water bottle to keep hydrated
• Clothing suitable for physical activity
• Positive attitude!

Note: It is very important that youth are escorted in to and out of the hall! Do not 'drop and run'. The hall might be physically open but it may not be your leader or group who is there.
